1. Who we are and what AURORA does
AURORA is a free cruise decision and price-monitoring service. AURORA helps you compare sailings against your saved preferences ("Cruise Passport"), watch prices on sailings you choose, and receive alerts when a price meets a target you set.
The operating legal entity, its type, and its jurisdiction ("AURORA," "we," "us") will be identified here before these terms take effect.
2. What AURORA is not
AURORA is a referral and information service. AURORA does not sell cruises, arrange travel, hold your money for travel, or act as your travel agent. When you choose to book, you book directly with a cruise line, travel agency, or other partner, and their terms govern that purchase.
If AURORA's services change in a way that involves arranging travel, these terms will be updated and additional registrations may be required before those features launch.
3. Free service and how AURORA makes money
AURORA is free to use. AURORA may earn money in two ways:
- Referral commissions. When you choose to book through a link or offer AURORA presents, AURORA may earn a commission from the partner. AURORA will disclose this near the link or offer itself, not only in this document. You are never required to use AURORA's booking links to receive alerts or any other core feature.
- Aggregated demand intelligence. With your consent, AURORA may include your price trackers in aggregated, privacy-protected demand reports sold to cruise industry partners. These reports use cohort-level data only and never include your identity, contact details, exact target prices, or tracker URLs. You can opt out without losing core free monitoring. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Your account and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use AURORA. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, including notification contact details. The native beta can be used on-device without an account or with passwordless email-code sign-in for private cloud synchronization. Device-only data is not silently merged into an account.
5. Price information and accuracy
Cruise prices change frequently and are controlled by cruise lines and sellers, not AURORA. Price observations, deal confidence scores, fit scores, and alerts are informational estimates based on data available to AURORA at the time of observation. They are not offers, guarantees, or booking quotes. Always confirm the final price, availability, terms, taxes, fees, and refundability with the seller before booking.
AURORA is not responsible for pricing errors on partner or source sites, missed price movements, delayed or undelivered alerts, or differences between an observed price and the price available when you book.
6. Alerts and notifications
Price alerts appear in AURORA and may be delivered by email or native push when enabled. You can disable email per watch and push per device. Alert delivery depends on third-party providers and is not guaranteed; a provider's acceptance of a push request does not prove handset delivery.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use AURORA to scrape, resell, or redistribute price data; probe, disrupt, or overload the service; misrepresent your identity; use automated agents to create trackers at scale; or use AURORA's outputs to build a competing pricing dataset. AURORA may suspend or close access that violates these rules.
8. Your content and preferences
Your Cruise Passport, trackers, watches, and feedback remain yours. You grant AURORA the right to use them to operate the service: to score sailings, run your trackers, send your alerts, and — only with your data-use consent — to include eligible trackers in aggregated demand cohorts as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting a tracker removes it from future aggregate cohorts, except where retention is legally required.
9. Partner offers
Partners may present offers through AURORA against aggregated demand cohorts. Offers will identify the commercial relationship and material restrictions. AURORA does not give partners lists of eligible users; no handoff to a partner occurs unless you choose to engage with an offer.
10. Intellectual property
AURORA's software, scoring methods, and content are owned by AURORA or its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Cruise line names, ship names, and trademarks belong to their owners; their appearance in AURORA does not imply endorsement.
11. Disclaimers
AURORA is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AURORA does not warrant that price data is accurate, complete, or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AURORA's total liability for any claim arising out of the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amounts you paid AURORA in the prior 12 months (AURORA is currently free, so US $100). AURORA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost savings, missed deals, or booking losses. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in those places, they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
13. Indemnity
You will indemnify AURORA against claims arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Changes to the service or these terms
AURORA may change or discontinue features. AURORA may update these terms; material changes will be notified through the service or by email before they take effect, with the new version identifier and effective date shown. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. Prior versions will be archived and available on request.
15. Termination
You can stop using AURORA and delete your data at any time. AURORA may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. Sections that by nature survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, disputes) survive termination.
16. Governing law and disputes
The governing law and dispute-resolution venue will be identified here, together with the operating legal entity, before these terms take effect.
